The Five Star Ritz Carlton Enniskerry is located on the grounds of the Powerscourt Estate in the Village of Enniskerry Co.Wicklow. The hotel is 51 Km./32 miles from Dublin Airport by Motorway and the journey takes about 45 minutes.From Downtown Dublin it's 27km/17 miles and a journey of approx.45-50 minutes.
The Powerscourt Estate has a history stretching back over 800 years and a castle once stood on the site of the current Powerscourt House, the castle was owned by the Le Power family hence Powerscourt got it's name. In 1603 Richard Wingfield was granted Powerscourt castle by Queen Elizabeth of England and the estate was to remain in the family for over 350 years. The house was destroyed by fire in 1974 and it took 22 years to restore before reopening in 1996.
Getting to & From the hotel and Dublin Airport
A taxi from Dublin Airport to the hotel will cost €83 euros for two passengers including tolls, on a Sunday this would be €92 euros. Taxi's are available out side the airport terminals .. However if you choose a taxi you will have to carry your bags out side the terminal and across to the taxi stand, and if the famous Irish weather is raining this is not a pleasant experience .
Another option is to pre book a ,Ritz Carlton Chauffeur Transfer for the all inclusive rate of €95 at any time day or night, this service is operated by LFL Chauffeur Service in Dublin a well respected and former Dublin Chamber of Commerce business of the year.IF you are traveling with childred and require car seats these are provided at no additional cost
